Assembly and Installation
1. Remove supports from the handguard and lightly deburr where the supports where if necessary.
2. Install the screws and MLOK nuts on the picatinny rails. Top rail uses 14mm screws (longest), bottom rail uses 10mm scews (middle-length), and left and right rails use 8mm screws (shortest). It is recommended to use Loctite 242 or 243 on the M4 MLOK screws.
3. Rotate the nuts so they are in the "open" orientation (parallel to the MLOK slot), and pass them through the MLOK slots.
4. Turn each screw and nut 90 degrees and pull the rail outward to ensure the nuts are fully engaged with the handguard and perpendicular to the MLOK slots.
5. Using a hex key or driver, carefully tighten each screw until they are all snug and the rail is fully secured. Be careful not to overtorque the screws.
6. Carefully slide the handguard over the barrel and gas block and into position.
7. Loosely install the bottom two M3 screws through the handguard and into the receiver.
8. Loosely install the M4 FHCS in the top Picatinny rail.
9. Torque the M3 SHCS to 10 in-lbs and the M4 FHCS to 24 in-lbs. Loctite should not be needed on these.
